Don't Stop, Draw Strength

When you are faced with a daunting challenge, may the Spirit of the Lord well up within you, yea, may the Spirit come upon you, and give you an unshakable and daring stance. You will not run helter-skelter, from pole to pole, looking for provision, protection or peace.

It cannot be overemphasized or beaten out of shape, that it's in the presence of the Lord that we receive strength and courage. Elijah says - “As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely present myself to him today.” 1 Kings 18:15

As long as we stand before the Lord, we can stand up and withstand anything. So, the promise to Joshua, “no man shall be able to stand before/against you all the days of your life” is predicated on, “the book of the law not departing from the mouth of Joshua.”

The same is true of the disciples in Acts of the Apostles chapters 3 and 4:

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus - Acts 4:13

If we have been with Jesus, we will be a marvel to many, and we can stand up to any test and respond to any questioning. Take a look at some of the many verses about strength:

1 Chronicles 16:11

Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore!

Psalm 84:7

They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 26:4

What more shall I say, Trust in the Lord forever, For in Jehovah the Lord, is everlasting strength.

Let’s continue to fellowship together before His presence so we can draw strength and gather courage for the journey ahead. We cannot stop halfway; don’t stop halfway. Let’s go on together for this upward call.
